About

Cassandra Fuerst (she/her) is a compassionate spiritual director who feels most alive when she is providing safe spaces for others to be honest about themselves and God. She began her own spiritual direction journey when she longed to experientially know that she was actually loved by God. Her training includes contemplative listening, reflective inquiry, prayerful engagement as well as spiritual formation through numerous practices. Cassandra's favorite spiritual practice is sitting quietly with a cup of hot tea looking out the window to the tops of the trees. She lives in Memphis, TN, with her husband, four kids, and two dogs.

What to expect

Spiritual Direction happens once a month for one hour. This can be done in person or online. The hour is yours to use as you need. Typically a session includes prayerful silence, story sharing, mindful reflection, and thoughtful questions.  I am a companion on your spiritual journey. Your and God's voices are the ones we want to hear and know more deeply.

Sessions occur only once a month because the real work of direction happens  between our times together as you begin to notice God's loving presence in your life. When appropriate I may suggest spiritual practices that can help you create space to encounter God.  God moves as God wills, but we can intentionally become people who are available to holy encounters.
